Jewell’s Country Market Tranistions to New Owner

Jewell’s Country Market, an iconic Prince Edward Island greenhouse and market has been sold to Allison Murphy, in a deal brokered by Confederation M&A. Former owners Chris and Zuzana Seemann purchased the business from the original owners in 2017. The sale is effective immediately.

Jewell’s Country Market has been a Prince Edward Island staple for over 22 years with focus on quality goods, fair prices and locally sourced products when possible. The market offers a wide range of products from greenhouse flowers and plants, seasonal fresh veggies, fruit to cut flowers, gardening tools and supplies among others.

“I am very excited to jump into business and especially be in the greenhouse industry,” says new owner Allison Murphy. “I’ve been going to Jewell’s for years and am glad that I get to be part of the next chapter of this great island business.” Murphy has a history in customer service and hospitality industry.

Former owner Chris Seemann added, “Zuzana and I are very excited to progress to the next chapter of our lives. We are very grateful to our fantastic staff and all our great customers for the amazing time we had with Jewell’s Country Market. We are confident that we will continue to see excellent service and products. We wish Allison many years of continued success”.

A new owner is in place but things will be business as usual for Jewell’s Country Market. “It is a well-respected and well-run business already – there is no need to mess with success,” says Murphy. “I feel that we have an excellent starting point with great things ahead, and the right team to make it happen”.
